customer app which allows its
users to view vital account
and equipment information
at any time of day or night. .
The concept of utilising
iPhone technology to
improve business efficiency
has been familiar to A-Plant
for a long time. Development
of the A-Plant App is a result
of over 18 months'
refinement of the company's
own internal iPhone 'Target
Mobile' app which has been
used by A-Plant sales
executives since June 2010.
Developed entirely inhouse,
Target Mobile enables
A-Plant's sales executives to
check equipment availability
whilst on the move straight
from the iPhone. It also aids
opening new accounts and
obtaining immediate (and
more accurate) quotes, as well
as instantly displaying
equipment pictures and
specifications to the customer
to help choose exactly what
they require.
Now available to download
by A-Plant's Extranet users,
the A-Plant App has been
road-tested by customers to
manage their hire process in
real time, allowing them to
on-hire and off-hire as they
require through the app.
