Rhino Doors, the high security door manufacturer, has announced that Barry Gregson has accepted a short term business development role with effect from 1 June 2016.
During the rest of 2016 he will help managing director, Stuart Lawrence rebrand the company, implement a market communication programme, launch new product development initiatives, and establish the company in new market sectors.
Barry has been involved in the steel industry for more than 35 years. Since managing the establishment of Accent Doors in 1981 he has led other new business start-ups, represented overseas partners on the distributor council of one of the world’s largest hollow metal door producers, and assisted a major European manufacturer establish a strong presence in the UK. In his role as Business Development Director at Booth Industries he worked with Stuart Lawrence on the development of a 5-year expansion plan.
Rhino is one of the few NIC EIC, Ministry of Defence (“MOD”), and Post Office accredited high security door manufacturers in the UK. The business services some of the most demanding security providers in the world including the MOD, the banking sector, private cash deposit holders, as well as providers of private and public aircraft hangars.
On his appointment Barry Gregson stated: “Rhino is an excellent niche business with well-engineered products, and a long established, loyal public sector customer base. It has significant growth potential and I am delighted to be asked to help it move to a new level.”
Stuart Lawrence, managing director of Rhino, commented: “I am delighted that Barry has agreed to assist us with this assignment that will undoubtedly support the accelerated growth plans we have now implemented. This is part of our ‘7 Month’ plan that culminates with the launch of a range of new products at the Dubai Big 5 infrastructure event in November 2016, opening the door to global sales.”
