Access system performs key role

A safe and solid work platform, the LOBO System can be configured to meet any access application. It is put together without any tools and its special patented clamp provides a safe and secure working facility to a maximum height of 10m. Personnel can reconfigure the system, adapting it from one project to another, with ease.

“The LOBO is sturdy, solid and comfortable, extremely safe for use by all our height workers,” says QUAD technical manager, Oli Melia. “We have many uses for the LOBO at QUAD such as installation work in the gallery and lighting rig within the cinema. It is also used for general height work in the building.”

By fitting wheels, LOBO can be moved around a site and it can be assembled, taken down and reassembled quickly. It is easy to flat-pack and transport.

Melia continues: “Once erected, LOBO is easy to manoeuvre around the gallery. This enables us to get the job done quickly but most importantly, safely. Compared to everyday scaffolding, LOBO ticks all the right boxes and is extremely cost effective. Because it can be dismantled into sizable parts, we find the upright storage facility invaluable."

The equipment is made in the UK and is available in various kit forms or, to meet specific applications, LOBO engineers will design a bespoke system. One of its benefits is that extending kits can be purchased to accommodate changing needs.
