pedestrian pallet truck which accords
to Ex-protection guidelines and
meets the stringent requirements of
GMP-Cleanroom Class C directives.
The first of these, a wide gauge
truck with a load capacity of 1250kg,
is in operation in the controlled
cleanroom environment of a major
pharmaceutical
manufacturer where it is
used to feed weighing scales
in the filling area with containers and
aluminium pallets, and to transport
decanters to the cleaning and
sterilising station.
By incorporating special coatings
for steel components and solvent
resistant synthetic materials,
Sichelschmidt has reduced the
amount of stainless steel for a
more cost effective solution
whilst adhering to exacting
standards to prevent
product contamination.
The prerequisites of
both explosion-proof and
cleanroom operation have
been addressed. Easy to
clean, the truck is also devoid
of dead areas which could harbor
contamination.
