Public sector providers across the UK can build on Scotland’s pioneering work in digital care now that they can purchase digital telecare services through the country’s Excel procurement framework.
Digital platform provider Communicare247 (the trading name of Safe Shores Monitoring), is offering local authorities and other public sector providers the ability to buy solutions built on Archangel, its digital platform for person-centred care. Previously, they would have had to use analogue equipment reliant upon telephone lines.
The Archangel platform will enable local authorities to deliver improved independent and assisted living to UK citizens. It does this through proactive remote monitoring and response services that combine Internet technologies such as video conferencing with other smart devices that help to monitor people in their own homes and communities to ensure that people are reliably connected to care networks.
The platform also supports Chaperone, Communicare247’s advanced personal safety device that supports vulnerable individuals and lone workers using GPS/GPRS location technology.
