PMC Safety Netting from Grimsby were awarded two out of the three FASET (Fall Arrest and Safety Equipment Training Federation) Inaugural Health and Safety Awards at their Annual General Meeting.
FASET is the body representing the safety net rigging and temporary safety systems industry. The independent judging panel, which included a representative of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Industry, were impressed by the commitment, innovation and concern for safety demonstrated by the winners.
The association's secretary Tony Seddon said: “The aim of the awards is to reflect the excellent work being done by FASET member companies and their considerable contribution to advancing safety and best practice when working at height.”
PMC scooped the Health and Safety Project of the Year Award sponsored by CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) for their work on the Clugston Construction Energy Recycling Facility in Leeds. The judges complemented PMC on working on a challenging project that was completed successfully, on time, to budget and without an incident.
PMC were also awarded the FASET Health and Safety Initiative Award sponsored by SMART Scaffolder. The judges said PMC had made an outstanding contribution to the work and role of the association by contributing time, knowledge and experience to develop FASET temporary worked training and best practice guidance which they have made available to all members.
PMC, part of the PMC Group of companies that also includes PMC Scaffold & Access, have offices in Grimsby and Leeds and work nationwide with a team of 40 CSCS trained safety net rigger, temporary edge protection and stair tower installers.
