Chubb Systems has received a Gold Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the sixth consecutive year, and Chubb Fire & Security received the Gold Award for the third time, following its first in 2016.
RoSPA Gold Award winners are recognised for achieving a high level of performance while demonstrating well-developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk, and low levels of error, harm and loss. Chubb, a leading provider of security and fire-safety solutions, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
In addition to the award, Chubb Systems received a gold medal in recognition of achieving the top Gold Award for six consecutive years.
Nichola Maher, EH&S manager, Chubb Systems, said the award and medal are testament to a sustained commitment to environment, health and safety. “We continually assess all areas of behaviour and culture to ensure environment, health and safety is at the forefront of everything we do. The RoSPA awards are an important opportunity for us to celebrate the business’ achievements in ensuring employees are working to best practice safety standards.”
This year, the Chubb Systems award was accepted by service engineer Ronnie Wineberg who won the business’ annual Recognition award for going above and beyond in support of Chubb’s health and safety practices.
