Fire safety manager course leading to Fire Technician Qualification

As the economy contracts the need for competent fire risk assessments remains a mandatory duty. Many organisations have to tailor their resources in an ever slowing market. Often they employ consultants to carryout fire risk assessments of their premises on a regular basis. Is this a wise use of diminishing resources? Vulcan Fire Training will train suitable candidates from the workforce on their Fire Manager course as 'competent persons'.

The above photograph shows delegates who successfully completed the Fire Manager Course and gained their TIFSM qualification. They are in the middle of a hands-on fire safety report writing exercise. Other exercises give delegates experience of conducting fire risk assessments, compiling fire emergency plans and managing fire safety in the workplace. Vulcan Fire Training runs the course in two modules consisting of 5 followed by 4 days in Northampton and from 2010 in Warrington centres. Course delegates work in teams and are provided with software to enable them to function effectively as fire safety managers. Successful delegates in course examinations can apply for Technician status with the Institute of Fire Safety Managers.
