Heavy terminal tractors

Kalmar says that its new TR626i and TR632i fully CAN-Bus controlled heavy terminal tractors are the most powerful models available. Targeting heavy-duty industrial and terminal applications, the new models meet the market's need for a higherpowered tractor that can handle increasingly heavy loads.

Features include: compliance with emissions legislation, enhanced safety and operator environment, easy maintenance and reduced ownership costs, and high performance and productivity e.g. when pulling heavy trailers up steep ramps onto RoRo ships or pulling long trains of trailers. A heavy-duty active tilting lift boom allows +/-10 degrees lateral inclination of the fifth wheel, and this is said to be more durable, stable and powerful than its predecessors.

A spacious air-suspended cabin which can be electrically tilted to 60 degrees, has been integrated into the design in accordance with ROPS safety standard (ISO 3471:1994).

Wide footsteps, clear walkways, antislip materials and handrails further contribute to safety levels.
