Is your high visibility admin a drain?

The new Tyvek 500 HV coverall from DuPont meets the high visibility needs of those working in the rail, mining, road maintenance and other hazardous sectors.

As it is a limited-use coverall, it is designed to reduce the additional costs of collecting, transporting, laundering and monitoring associated with traditional reusable high visibility workwear.

Mrs Chloé Caux-Wetherell, EMEA new product leader for DuPont Protection Technologies, said: “The introduction of Tyvek 500 HV is an important moment as the coverall is an all-in one-solution. It offers those that need to be seen at all times, at night, in bad light and poor weather conditions, not only high visibility protection but also chemical, biological and anti-static protection.”

The regular laundering of high visibility clothing leads to degradation in the effectiveness of the fluorescent and reflective quality of the garments. High visibility clothing therefore needs to be monitored to ensure it is up to standard after every five washes. Such a monitoring regime across a large, moveable and ever-changing workforce is enormously complex and requires significant investment – all of which the Tyvek 500 HV negates.

The coverall is compliant to the highest class of the international high visibility norm: EN ISO 20471:2013. For the UK it is also compliant to BS EN ISO 20471:2013.

Easy to wear, the coverall's ergonomic features include elasticated cuffs and ankles, an elasticated waist as well as plentiful room in the crotch area and a comfortable collar.
