DGSA Practitioners and Health and Safety Advisors, RADCaT and social enterprise, Tembo Training, have joined forces to launch a programme of manual handling training specifically for Wigan businesses, after they identified a lack of cost-effective local training in the area.
The aim of the 2 ½ hour course is to help delegates understand their individual responsibilities and what is expected of them, and to ensure that they contribute to the safety of the workplace.
Content of the course includes manual handling injury statistics; legislation; anatomy and injury; principles of safe manual handling; hazard and risk; risk assessments and record keeping; and practical solutions in the workplace.
Taking place on Saturday mornings – 10 - 12.30pm the course is currently being offered at £35 per delegate.
