Mabey Hire achieves FORS Silver Accreditation

Silver accreditation in the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) demonstrates Mabey Hire’s thorough adoption of best practices in safety, efficiency and environmental protection across 15 of its operating depots. In addition to complying with the requirements laid out by the FORS Standard, the Silver certification also means that Mabey Hire’s fleet has met the CLOCS Standard for Construction Logistics and TFL’s Work Related Road Risk (WRRR). 

The achievement is the result of a company-wide level of investment, dedication and hard work over the last twelve months. This included upgrading the company’s fleet vehicles with the latest camera recording, side scanning and audible warning systems, all to help ensure the safety of vulnerable road-users. Mabey Hire has also provided its drivers and the General Managers of its depots with extensive e-training on various related subjects, including emissions, vulnerable road users, security and anti-terrorism. Refresher courses will continue to be provided throughout the year.
