Made to measure membership

SMAS Worksafe has introduced a new, enhanced Membership suite for its contractors. The Membership options are designed to support not only the SMAS Worksafe SSIP Assessment, but also give Members access to a range of tools, discounts, and support to help them grow their businesses safely.

Through close association with its Partners including Work Wallet, Toolstation, and IHASCO to support its members in digitizing their H&S reporting and management, training & development as well as offering them discounts on tools and materials. 

In addition to the Membership options, the company has updated its accreditation packages to better reflect the needs from feedback received from contractors, clients and independent H&S Consultants.

Choosing your products

When contractors apply or start their renewal process, they’ll be offered the following levels of accreditation; 

1. Worksafe PQQ - Going beyond the SSIP accreditation (HSE approved) members will get both Environmental and Quality Management system reviews and recommendations meaning your documents are reviewed by a trained specialist from SMAS Worksafe. Contractors will also get access to policy templates as well as additional areas including modern slavery, anti-bribery and corruption, financial and business.

Assist - When contractors take Worksafe PQQ, they’ll have the option to ‘upgrade to Assist’, as part of this they will get to work with a trained specialist from SMAS Worksafe to create Environmental and Quality policies that are bespoke to their business, perfect for those companies facing these new areas for the first time. 

Assist is not an ISO standard, but rather a management system specifically for Environmental and Quality Management where a contractor doesn’t already have these processes in place. 

Assist has been designed as a proportionate and usable management system to help support contractors with the increasing demand for Environmental and Quality policies that SMAS Worksafe are seeing in the pre-tender market. 

2. Worksafe Assessment - SSIP accreditation (HSE approved) and the option to upload documents and self-certify around PAS91 including Environmental and Quality Management, Modern Slavery and Anti-Bribery. 

Can we still Deem-to-Satisfy?

Deem to Satisfy (DTS) is still offered to members who have completed their SSIP assessment with another scheme. Members taking DTS still have the option to take Worksafe PQQ without the need to complete the full SSIP assessment with SMAS Worksafe.

The Essentials memberships offers members 

• a 3-day turnaround on the SSIP assessment review. 

• Just like Complete, they will get a pack of vehicle stickers 

• a foiled certificate of accreditation

• exclusive discounts with our partners, 

Taking its Standard membership will see SSIP assessments reach the SMAS Worksafe in-house team within 7 working days. Vehicle stickers and a foiled certificate will still be available albeit with an additional fee.
