Magnum healthcare & service range now available

All the shoes in the collection are extremely lightweight with imperative protective features such as slip resistant outsoles and liquid resistant uppers. The shoes are designed for those working long shifts on their feet and in need of comfort and protection from their footwear.

The new Magnum Healthcare & Service Collection features an anti-slip Pentagrip outsole that not only meets, but exceeds the European SRC slip resistance test for occupational footwear (EN ISO 20347:2012) and for safety footwear (EN 20345:2011), and extra HSL testing showed a slip risk of one in a million. The specially designed outsole is ideal for use on potentially slippery indoor surfaces such as the ceramic tile, steel, vinyl or linoleum floors found in medical and catering environments.

The collection also features a moulded EVA and mesh insole which is shock absorbing, moisture wicking, breathable, and provides superb underfoot comfort, and an EVA comfort midsole providing impact resisting properties for all-day comfort.  Some styles also feature a lightweight composite safety toe cap for additional protection.

Magnum appreciates that healthcare and service employees, such as nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants, midwives, kitchen assistants, chefs, waiting and bar staff, all spend a lot of time in hazardous environments and have to remain protected against spills and harmful chemicals and stains. To combat this, all styles in the collection has been treated with i-shield technology, a spray treatment which prevents stains, delivering protection against dirt and liquids, repelling water, oil, fluids and blood borne pathogens, and makes the shoes easy to clean, keeping the leather looking good for longer.

As well as comfort and protection, the new collection also incorporates great design with a considered uniform look; from ankle boots to lace up trainers/shoes, from versatile slip-on mules to classic Mary Jane’s.
