RTITB’s MEWP Trainer’s Guide gives Instructors all the hard copy and digital training resources needed for compliance with PUWER training requirements.

Our Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Trainer’s Guide helps to ensure compliance with PUWER training requirements, with comprehensive instructions for Novice, Existing, Conversion and Refresher training.

It has been designed to allow appropriately qualified instructors to set up and conduct operator training for ABA codes 1A, 1B, 3A and 3B.

Static vertical – manoeuvred into position and cannot travel whilst elevated (ABA category 1A)
Static boom – manoeuvred into position and cannot travel whilst elevated (ABA category 1B)
Mobile vertical – can be driven from the elevated operating position (ABA category 3A)
Mobile boom – can be driven from the elevated operating position (ABA category 3B)

Written in line with the HSE’s ‘Approved Code of Practice: Rider Operated Lift Trucks’, this guide is designed to provide clear guidance on all aspects of training. The guide will walk Instructors through the course lesson by lesson, providing all the information needed.

The trainer’s guide includes a session library, practical exercises, assessments, and copies of the test marking sheet documents (Pre-Use and Practical and Associated Knowledge). The guide also comes with an Instructor USB, containing an Instructor PowerPoint, a bank of Associated Knowledge Question Papers and handouts. The MEWP Trainer’s USB is also available separately.
