Directive ATEX 95 - 94/9/EC and
will be safe to use in potentially
explosive environments, TÃœV SÃœD
Product Service has launched an
ATEX Safety Service.
The new ATEX Safety Service will
also support end-users of machinery
which operate processing facilies in
potentially explosive environments.
They are required to comply with
ATEX 137 - 99/92/EC (ATEX
Workplace Directive) to reduce the
risk to their workers in the explosive
atmosphere.
Machinery manufacturers that use
the serivce will reduce time to
market for new products and ensure
that existing ones can continue to be
sold legally. This is because as a
Notified Body, TÃœV SÃœD can offer
product certification of both
electrical and non-electrical
equipment under the ATEX Product
Directive.
