New warehouse design

The online specialist sells an extensive range of modern, contemporary and designer classic furniture. Relocating its operation to a new 20,000 ft² warehouse, the company's objectives were to maximise space utilisation to accommodate its extensive product range and create as close to 2000 pallet locations as possible.

The DSS design included low level wooden decks suitable for small item picking, anti collapse mesh to the rear of the single runs of racking plus heavy duty lower rack legs to minimise minor accident damage and simplify replacement. These features are complemented by tubular end rack barriers plus rack labelling and signage throughout. As a result, a total of 1982 pallet locations have been created and stored items are easily accessible by a standard reach truck.

Following the success of this project, DSS was awarded a second contract to fit out the on site administration complex.
