Single-source packaging solutions provider FDL Packaging Group has added a further string to its bow with the acquisition of Richard Wood Packaging, a long-established manufacturer of wooden packaging systems, heavy-duty corrugated cardboard and packaging products.

The acquisition represents another step in FDL's ongoing strategy of growing its total packaging solutions offering by taking on board new market expertise, resources and capabilities.

The company aims to best serve its customers' growing and ever-changing needs by helping to meet the demands of the global export market, improve operational efficiencies and address the 'green' agenda by reducing energy consumption levels.
