Fulcrum offers an Inspection and
Maintenance product which involves
the detailed assessment of large scale
pipelined operations such as leisure
and retail facilities, manufacturers,
public sector sites and so on.
Outlet pipelines are often neglected
once installed and owner/managers
may not realise they have a duty of
care to ensure that such supply lines
are safely maintained, much like an
annual inspection on a basic boiler.
The IGEM (Institute of Gas Engineers
and Managers) UP/2 (Inspection
and Maintenance) Standard states
that a full maintenance plan should
be drawn up for all downstream
outlet pipework and ancillary
equipment, supported by an annual
inspection and by soundness testing
every five years.
