Ballyclare has underlined its position as an established rail workwear provider by confirming it can supply customers with garments that are fully compliant with the amended industry standard that was introduced recently.
The change has been made to the Railway Group Standard GO/RT 3279. “The original standard has been replaced by the new Rail Industry Standard RIS-3279-TOM ‘High Visibility Clothing’ and we’d like to reassure our customers this has absolutely no effect on the Ballyclare garments they wear,” explains Ballyclare Key Account Manager, Maggie Shaw.
“All Ballyclare garments which were certified to GO/RT 3279 are automatically compliant with the new RIS-3279-TOM standard, so customers can continue to trust their Ballyclare garments. This really does highlight the fact the workwear we supply to the rail industry not only meets current standards, but also often exceeds them.”
Ballyclare’s status as a rail industry supplier was underlined when the company won a major new contract to supply Network Rail with hi vis waterproof, flame retardant and arc protection garments. Under the contract Ballyclare provides Network Rail a wide selection of garments to 13,000 trackside workers based at over 700 of Network Rail’s UK locations.
