For long safety fencing constructions, it has also developed extra-reinforced posts, which makes it unnecessary to use struts or other reinforcements. According to Qimarox, the posts are so sturdy that it is possible to mount a walk-in protection system to the fencing entirely free of vibration.
The standard post in the Securyfence range is strengthened by turning the base plate 45 degrees. This means that bolts for anchoring to the floor are no longer located at the four corners, but at the four sides of the post. The forces exerted on the post can therefore be better absorbed and dissipated.
The reinforced post has the same base plate, but has an extended U-shaped profile in a bid to provide extra strength. This post is suitable for extra-long safety fencing structures and is designed to obviate the need to use struts. An additional advantage is that the shape of the U-profile makes it possible to make angles of 45 degrees with the shield, something that was hitherto not possible.
The extra reinforced post is also suitable for attaching walk-in protection. The vast majority of posts in the shielding systems available on the market today are not robust enough to support sensors vibration-free, which means that special posts need to be installed for walk-in protection systems. With the new Securyfence posts, sensors can be attached directly to the fence.
Besides an extra reinforced post, the Securyfence range was also expanded with a new line of hinged and sliding doors. Because the doors have the same dimensions as the standard mesh panels – 730 and 990 millimetres – it has been made easier to move the entrance to the shielded area. Furthermore, the fully pre-assembled, hinged doors can easily be converted to sliding doors using a different mounting kit.
Securyfence is a product of Qimarox, manufacturer of components for material handling systems. A distinctive feature of the Securyfence safety fencing system is the profile of the mesh panels, which provides extra stiffness and therefore greater safety.
Securyfence is surprisingly easy to install, partly due to the profiling. The mesh panels are namely fixed to the vertical posts with horizontal pipes, which can be threaded through the mesh of the mesh panels. The ends of the tubes are then fitted to the posts using bolts.
