Safety supplier announces charity donations

After a difficult year for many businesses and charities, Bunzl Safety businesses in the UK decided that during this festive season, working and contributing to the local community and charities was more important than ever. To give them the extra support they need, each Safety business location was given £400.00 to donate to a charity of their choice resulting in £10,000 worth of donations to local charities close to our employees hearts all over the UK. 

These charities varied from each location and the donations went to charities such as; animal shelters, local children hospitals, local foodbanks, homeless shelters, cancer support centres and dementia charities. 

Chris Wakeman, managing director of Bunzl Cleaning & Safety division stated, “Our teams across the UK have been outstanding throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and have displayed an amazing community spirit, taking care of themselves and one another whilst supporting our customers everyday with the supply of critical PPE. As so many charities have found fund raising difficult throughout 2020, as a collection of businesses, we wanted to give something back to the local areas where are regional teams are based. What is so pleasing is the variety of charities we have been able to support.”
