Many people are daunted by the prospect of carrying out a Risk Assessment (60,000 people Google Risk Assessment monthly). Often it’s not spotting hazards and working out how to avoid them that people find difficult, it’s how to lay out the report and what to include on it.
Big Creative says it has solved this problem with its App, Risk Assessor Lite , (for iPhone and iPad) which is free to download on the AppStore which creates reports for you.
Users simply drag and drop editable hazard icons over a photo and select or type in new control measures, along with likelihood and worst case outcome. Specific project names and job descriptions can also be entered.
Each report is stored on the device for future use, and can be emailed directly from the risk site. It is also possible to set follow up dates for future assessments which automatically sync with iCal, and flag up automatic reminders. To view the app search Risk Assessor App on Vimeo.com or YouTube to see a video demo or download the free version from the Appstore by searching Risk Assessor Lite.
