The art of aqueous ozone

According to Green World Innovations, which supplies lotus PRO – a machine which turns ordinary tap water into aqueous ozone in a matter of seconds – there are many. It is attracted to dirt and grime instantly and is claimed to be more effective than bleach and over 50% stronger. No rinsing is required which saves time on cleaning and reduces labour costs. In addition, no residue is left, which is said to reduce slip hazards by up to 70 per cent, therefore reducing insurance premiums.

As aqueous ozone doesn't use chemicals, there is no need to provide staff with COSHH training, which not only saves time and money, but eliminates harm to the operative's health.

As existing cleaning machinery can be used on all surfaces including carpets and ordinary flooring, there is no need to invest in new machinery.

Aqueous ozone lasts for 24 hours before reverting back to water and oxygen. This means that areas of heavy footfall can be cleaned throughout the day at no extra cost. After 24 hours the solution can be poured down the sink in a completely environmentally friendly way.

The easy-to-use solution is said to cost from as little as 2.3p per litre.

Andrea Hathaway is an industrial operative who works in the main workshop that consists of mechanical machinery which leaks oil onto painted floors. She said: “After six weeks of using the Aqueous Ozone ‘magic water’ the condition of the workshop floor has improved immensely. This area has a heavy traffic footfall of muddy, oily work boots and therefore the floors have to be cleaned daily. Even around the machinery areas which leak oil the product has worked wonders. As an industrial cleaner I would highly recommend this product."

Stefan Hobbs works as a domestic operative who has a mixture of lino and resin floors to clean. He said: “Well done Green World Innovations. My supervisor calls me the ‘AO Queen’. I clean 870 square metres of lino/resin corridors and use a scrubber drier to clean up and scuffs and coffee stains. The first time I used AO in the machine I was not impressed as it left tram lines on the floor, but I later found out the product was lifting years of chemical useage. I now use AO in a Vileda mop system and after just two attempts the tram lines have gone. The coffee stains and scuffs just need a spray and a mop.
