Working in low light and cold conditions poses additional health & safety concerns that must be carefully considered to ensure the wellbeing of employees.

Equipping workers with personal protective equipment (PPE) such as high visibility and reflective clothing, gloves, thermal socks and hats can help them to be more visible and protected from the cold. However, these items do not assist the worker with the increased dangers caused by low light levels.

This innovative beanie hat delivers all the comfort and warmth of a regular Portwest beanie, but also provides a useful additional light source to those working in low light conditions.

The rechargeable LED is easily removed from the beanie and connected directly to a USB port for simple charging. A full battery will provide up to 4 hours of light, depending on the light setting, which can be set to high—for a beam distance of 10 metres, medium—for 5 metre beam distance or flashing—when personal visibility is the number one priority.

Available in 5 colours, including high visibility yellow and orange, the Portwest LED beanie is fully CE marked and offers a brightness of 150 Lumens.
