Sympatex Technologies, the pioneer in the field of sustainable functional textiles, presented innovations in smart textiles at the Expoprotection fair, which took place on 7th to 9th November 2016 in Paris.
This included the latest generation of integrable heating systems for use in jackets, waistcoats and gloves. The efficient Sympatex Heating System contains battery-powered heating modules in different sizes that can be used flexibly, offering the wearer freedom of movement. They are invisible from the outside, easy to control and have a multi-level regulation. They offer a quick and homogeneous heat supply for a lasting, comfortable body temperature. The advantage lies in a higher performance and well-being at work – for instance during construction works and roadworks at freezing outside temperatures. In this context, the new Sympatex Lighting System creates increased safety.
The integrable, battery-powered lighting system offers an improved view and visibility by daylight, at dusk and at night. With the help of an operating unit, it is very easy to regulate four different light functions.
For the corporate wear sector Sympatex has focused on materials made of recycled PET bottle. It presented the latest laminate developments with the 100% waterproof and windproof as well as optimally breathable and 100% recyclable “guaranteed green” Sympatex membrane. The public transport in Paris (RATP) already uses the two- and three-layer laminates made of recycled PET bottles.
Moisture-tech by Sympatex is also becoming increasingly popular. The highly functional footwear technology creates an ideal micro climate which is suited for safety and firefighting boots in particular. Due to the use of extremely absorbent material, moisture is quickly transported away from the foot and is kept away from the lining by an outward suction effect. The advantage is a high level of comfort and dry feet for maximum performance in all weathers.
